.. well i was staring at my laptop and tita (a friend's mom) asked me to check the prices for Manila-Boracay ticks. so i checked at cebu pacific. then it hit me. why don't I go to Beijing to watch AB!! :O so i searched..

Only available flight (least cost) that could get me on Beijing by the 1st of January is on:

December 30, 2010

and the only flight going back (least cost) that could bring me back:

January 3, 2011

then I also checked going to bangkok. booking a date on a festival called Songkran festival hahahaha!!! it's nice! parang san juan day! people do water fights FOR FUN!!!

best place to celebrate Songkram is at Chiangmai though. From BKK you could go to Chiang Mai by Bus/Train/Plane/Car.. haha i'll probably take the 10 hour long BUS DRIVE if I ever go to Thailand

Chiang Mai: is considered the best place in Thailand to experience Songkran since its moat around the old city provides the ideal venue, with plenty of water. This historic town is popular with Thais and it fills up, so arrive early. Thapae Gate is the busiest but all around the moat you’ll find a great atmosphere. All roads leading there are usually congested. There is also a huge party held outside the Kad Suan Kaew Mall nearby the Northwest corner of the moat.

BUTTTTT!!! Bangkok is a nice play to still go to because most of the people go to their home towns (what we consider as provinces here in the PH). so there's less people at Bangkok. So you could walk around more WAHAHAHA.. I'll MOST DEFINITELY HEAD TO SIAM SQUARE

Bangkok: actually empties out during Songkran as many go back to their family homes, which makes it more pleasant and less congested. The pedestrianised Khao San Road near the Grand Palace is the place to be, it’s complete mayhem but the atmosphere is great. Alternatively head to Siam Square or parts of Sukhumwit road such Soi Nana. Silom road is also lively.

and leave a day after. although the flight going back to the PH is a midnight flight. hahaha so it's basically almost leaving at the same day as the last day of festivities.
