I can see the parallelism between Chookiat and Mew. Both are musicians and composers. Perhaps, he experienced the same struggle when it comes to love as Mew.
I also read this article where he (Chookiat) says that he was partly inspired by the number of HS students who like to hang out in Siam Square and that back in HS, he was one of them. So maybe that's where the inspiration for Tong and his barkada comes from.
Either way, Chookiat, you did an excellent job with LOS!
