Re: Funny youtube videos
If you like intellectual comedy, this one's for you!
This is taken from a British comedy show called The Catherine Tate Show (obviously hosted by Catherine Tate). Think of it as the British answer to SNL with its sketches and guest stars joining in on the fun.
This happens to be my favourite sketch series from the show. It's about this really stubborn but immensely intelligent Cockney HS student named Lauren Cooper. Every week, the celeb guest star teacher has to deal with her antics until they try to dismiss her from class. This is all in vain, however, as Lauren always outwits her instructors, proving that she actually understands their lessons.
One of the biggest catchphrases of the series is "Am I bovvered?" (Am I bothered in a thick Chav Cockney accent), BTW, so that's what you will hear her ask her teacher.
In this episode, Lauren gets a new English teacher played by David Tennant (the title character in the 10th season of Dr. Who). Hilarity ensues as she challenges his worthiness to teach English and asks him about being Dr. Who.
Very, very intellectually hilarious!
To mon frere âme and mon soeur Julie: Hope you never have a student like her who will infuriate you! Especially Chi since he's going to teach English like David Tennant here!
Brit blah explanation ( to those who don't get it and want to know what's it about):
