Just kidding! This is Zee Avi, a Malaysian singer-songwriter. Well, thanks to my Malaysian friend for introducing their own "Colbie Caillat" (according to her). But she's amazing and a very cute song! (but I guess the video didn't fit it?! Haha!)

Sun rays come down as seen when they hit the ground,
Children spinning around till they fall down down down.
I wait for you: it's been two hours now,
You're still somewhere in town,
Your dinners getting cold.
I rest my case you are always this late,
And you know how much I hate waiting around 'round 'round,
Bitter heart, bitter heart tries to keep it all inside,
Bitter heart, bitter heart shadows will help you try to hide,
Bitter heart, my bitter heart is gettin' just a little fragile,
Bitter heart, bitter heart of mine.
And then you come and tell me the same reason as you did yesterday,
So tell me whats her name.
Doo doo da dum, doo doo da dum, doo doo doo doo doo doo da da dum dum, da da da da dum, da da da da dum, da da da da dum.
Bitter heart, bitter heart tries to keep it all inside
Bitter heart, bitter heart shadows will help you try to hide,
Bitter heart, my bitter heart is just getting a little fragile,
Bitter heart, bitter heart of mine, of mine, of mine, of mine, of mine, of mine.

I love her voice! Very soulful!

She kind of sounds like a singer I like; I just can't remember who exactly right now!

She sounds like Adele with a touch of Sitti Navaro...

I was about to say that! She sounds a little like Adele and Norah Jones combined!

The first time I heard Zee Avi, she really reminded me of Lenka-Sitti-Colbie..Haha! All rolled into one! I really love her!

Just wanna share this song from may favorite International artist: Mika.

It's from his second album, "The Boy Who Knew Too Much". It's called "Toy Boy" and the song kind of reminded me about TLOS. I also like it's style... so here it goes:

I like almost all of his songs, and his very high pitched voice. So far, my top favorites are "Billy Brown" and "Lover Boy" where I love how he says "Love is just a cautionary, momentary, reactionary lie"

Maybe it was wrong to say
Nothing as you walked away
Baby I know you've been confused
Telling me that it's too late
I thought you say goodbye for good
But you're still here with me
How we get so miss understood

Cause you say (you say)
You ain't got time for me
Actions speak loud of your words ??
You try to say you've rather be
All by yourself
Oohh, but I can see the way
The way you look at me
And baby I don't believe (believe what you say)
You say, oohhh

You know that it's cool to look
Look the way you do tonight
Girl you know I'm on to you ??
Cause something just don't add of right (no)
I thought you said you felt unsure ??
Oohh, but hearts don't lie
Cause now you're back at my front door
Oohhhh

Cause you say (you say)
You ain't got time for me
Actions speak loud of your words
You try to say you've rather be
All by yourself
Oohh, but I can see the way
The way you look at me
And baby I don't believe, believe what you say
You say, oohhh

You thought I didn't care
I thought you wouldn't stay
I hope we can go furth from on this day ??
Let start over again, we don't have to pretend
That it's over, it's over

Cause you say (you say)
You ain't got time for me
Actions speak loud of your words
You try to say you've rather be
All by yourself
Oohh, but I can see the way
The way you look at me
And baby I don't believe, believe what you say
You say, oohhh

Maybe I was wrong to say
Nothing as you walked away..

Of course, as someone addicted to this song, I must include this!

This is "Fireflies" by Owl City, a group fast growing into indie rock/pop fans' consciousness. I quite like the lyrics! Very, very rich imagery.

You would not believe your eyes
If ten million fireflies
Lit up the world as I fell asleep
Cause they'd fill the open air
And leave tear drops everywhere
You'd think me rude but I would just stand and
Stare

I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns, slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
Cause everything is never as it seems

Cause I'd get a thousand hugs
From ten thousand lightning bugs
As they tried to teach my how to dance
A foxtrot above my head
A sock-hop beneath my bed
The disco ball is just hanging by a thread
(Thread, thread...)

I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns, slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
Cause everything is never as it seems
(When I fall asleep)

Leave my door open just a crack
(Please take me away from here)
[ Owl City Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]
Cause I feel like such an insomniac
(Please take me away from here)
Why do I tire of counting sheep?
(Please take me away from here)
When I'm far too tired to fall asleep
(Ha-ha)

To ten million fireflies
I'm weird cause I hate goodbyes
I got misty eyes as they said farewell
(Said farewell)
But I'll know where several are
If my dreams get real bizarre
Cause I saved a few and I keep them in a jar
(Jar, jar, jar...)

I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns, slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
Cause everything is never as it seems
(When I fall asleep)
(2x)

I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns, slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
Because my dreams are bursting at the seams
